Hizb-ul-Mujahideen is a Kashmir based militant group. Founded in 1989, the group has sought to liberate the disputed Jammu and Kashmir region. It has enjoyed the backing of Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence since its formation. The group is currently led by famous jihadi leader Syed Salahuddin.
