This map displays the relationships among Islamic separatist groups and Communist groups, the two main types of militant organizations in the Philippines. The map extends from the 1960s to the present, and it illustrates the durability of the country's major militant groups as well as the tendency for splinter groups to emerge.

- You can zoom into timeline to see more details by selecting time interval with right click
- You can reset zoom using button on top of the map that appears once zoom is enabled
- Relationships
- Only relationships that exist on the map are shown in legend
- You can show / hide relationships
- You can get details of relationship when you click on the circle on either side of relationship line
- Trace group
- Click on the group and you will see modal dialog that allows you to trace group or go to profile.
- Once you click Trace group you will see only groups that have relationship with this group.
- Show related groups on rollover
- Red line shows which groups have relationships on
